It is heinously frigid outside: including the wind chill that makes one want to commit, temperatures have plunged below the subzero mark. Surprisingly, I am quite warm, though the cost is my skin going through dessication. The continual ("natural") "exfoliation" of my skin only exacerbates my anger with myself for ever having returned to this as-near-to-literally-as-I'll-get hebetating place. The subzero temperatures have me contemplating a move to places that are warm year-round.

So, Bobby Fischer passed away yesterday. He apparently had an I.Q. somewhere between 180 and 190, which certainly surpasses the average I.Q. There are problems with the reliability of the I.Q. test (and maybe even the validity of it), but supposing that scored in such a high percentile would certainly be an indication that he had some sort of potential. I'd hesitate to call him (or anyone) a genius, though, for there are disparities between individual I.Q. tests and between a given individual's results (provided that they take multiple I.Q. tests).

Ok, all I have to say to this: hypocrite! (I'd still love to go to Cuba, though...and hope that this is never read by Castro or his "gobierno".) =o)

On a random note, Skype camming can be fun when done with the right people. Thanks Cait, and we probably should have sung Red, Red Wine at some point. I can still smell the Jose Cuervo in my margarita from last night, since I didn't finish my second cup.
