Sep. 13th, 2007 05:26 amHaha, looking at the times attached to my nearly consecutive (daily) posts, is much like my newly-developing insomnia staring straight at me in the face.
Whilst indulging in my post-twilight viewings of The Office (many thanks to TV-Links), I came across this blogger's post on Reuters, regarding Israeli Neo-Nazis being arrested.
I didn't see a problem like this coming, though it is not surprising. Israel has a great economy, a great military, well-known conflicts, and commonly targeted minority groups. Hate obviously can, has, and does permeate across borders.
One thing that does seem wrong with this picture is that issues such as these were are not as pressing as the issue of illegal workers and Sudanese who do not come from regions afflicted by genocide. Immigration is immigration, especially in conflicted Israel. The difference seems to lie within the legality/illegality of entry and/or residence in Israel...and in regards to the Sudanese, potential affronts by Islamists.
