I had a dream early this morning in which a test was taken, and the entire class had to watch some form of a documentary film. All I remember is from that point onward (all of which came at the end of the dream).
After--no, during--the documentary, I wandered off to another place in the classroom. Somehow, there was a baby giraffe being kept in some sort of enclosing with some other, much less towering animals. What was important, however, was that I was allowed into the enclosure! ☃
I remember hugging the calf around its neck, and it make the cutest utterances ever. However, it was as if it were talking to me, but the words were relatively indistinct. (Think of Charlie Brown's teacher.) I was no Dr. Doolittle (though thinking of the "classroom" from my dream conjures up the Biological Sciences classroom in which my genetics class was held), but it was as if I could understand that the calf was trying to express its favor toward me. Given that I love giraffes, it was only natural that I proceeded to ask the caretaker of this calf if I could take it and keep it. The caretaker, an attractive Asian (I believe Taiwanese) male in his mid-twenties, told me that I wouldn't be able to do so--adding the fact that it would be illegal. This was a dream; so why is the Asian male persuasion persuading me to keep my very dream-oriented thighs

I have reconnected with a student of mine from Japan! (This is the response to her having read on my profile and commenting on the fact that I am--or at least was--studying アラビア語 and ペルシア語.)
