Outings Leave Me an Angered Damsel
Jan. 4th, 2011 09:26 pmToday is a day to rejoice, for Your Wee One was out and about in celebration--mostly within the confines of the vehicle. In celebration of a belated birthday, an out-of-state (the next state isn't light years away) buffet place that the birthday person likes was the appointed venue.
The place was abound with the adipose-rich, which made the establishment scream of your typical, middle-class suburban buffet--commensurately abound with the sustenance required for their continued rate of insalubrious consumption. (Some of the food was visually pleasing; some of the food's appeal to the palate matched that to the eye (others e.g. the clam chowder, certainly did not).
Amongst all this, however, there was this rather pretty giant of a runboy that stood out in looks alone. His name was Craig :/, and he stood at at least 6'3". A kind sir he was--in the beginning. However, that kindness seemed to wane and all-but-vanish the longer those who were with me and I were in the buffet. Dishes accumulated, and the relatively few others sitting around us had their dishes cleared from their tables in a rather timely manner. Our table, however, was rather ignored.
Craig, though not Chinese, is from China. In a casual conversation with a couple sitting near our table, it was found out that he is here for school and will return to China in December of (this? next?) year. Apparently he's from Jilin(?), which borders North Korea. Interesting and rude (run)boy was interesting and rude. I left an angered damsel.
Such was my tale of today.
